On Saturday 3rd February, VMBC blessed the Wear with another great day of racing.
In the morning the men had a characteristically strong performance, putting their hours of dedication on display. Thank you very much to Katie from Butler for coming to the rescue to cox the crew!
Next up were the women, this was Claire’s competitive coxing debut and the first race as seniors for much of the crew. With a clean race and some much appreciated riverside support, it was an enjoyable experience for all.
Finally, Flora and Selena made their debut on the Wear in a double on race day. They had a fantastic race, and were the fastest women’s college double, a splendid achievement!
Congratulations to everyone who competed despite the prohibitive weather conditions in the lead up to the race, and thank you to everyone who cheered us on.
