Two busy days of racing began very early on the morning of Saturday 4th May with our W4+. Despite their unusual cox:rower height ratio and minimal outings, the crew had a great race with a strong start and powerful finish, but couldn’t quite catch up with the speedy South crew. This was Isabel’s fifth time on the water and first ever race, a sign of great things to come!

Next up, we had the W2x, despite a strong week of training and practice, the girls had a rushed start that unfortunately resulted in a capsize after drawing the eventual winner in their heat. Watch this space as Anya and Stella are determined to come back at another regatta to show all the work they have put in together on a racecourse near you soon.

Finally, the OP4+ flew off the stakeboat as practiced but were simply beaten by a faster Johns crew! An amazing result for a crew of 50% novs from this year in their first regatta, expect to see the Mildertian men taking regatta season in their stride.
