VMBC was back on Sunday 5th May for more fun and extra speed.
The Mixed 4+ raced first, the diplomatic mission set off from the stakeboat with immeasurable amounts of determination to get a good race down. We delivered a good clean race but unfortunately the butler crew (and the eventual event winners) were simply faster on the day.
Next up was the Op 2x, after drawing an unknown doncaster crew in the semi finals, the crew knew this race could go either way. They left it all out on the racecourse and unfortunately came down on the wrong side of a 1ft margin. Tommy and Henry should be so proud of themselves and thank the Doncaster crew (the eventually winners of the event) for a race that was inspiring and nail biting in equal measure.
Thanks again to all the Mildertians who volunteered to marshal or assist the umpires so that this event could go ahead.
